Good served with yogurt and honey-strawberry jam.
Preheat oven 325 degrees. Stir together in bowl:
1/4 C honey
1/2 C melted butter
2 Tablespoons light brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/8 teaspoon salt.
Add:
3 C uncooked regular Oats
1 1/2 C coarsely chopped pecans
1/2 C toasted wheat germ
2 Tablespoons sesame seeds.
Stir until evenly coated. Spread oat mixture on lightly greased 15x10" jelly roll pan.
Bake 25-30 minutes or until toasted, stirring every 10 minutes.(watch closely so do not over-brown)
Spread granola onto wax paper and cool completely. Stir in 8 oz package of chopped dates (or raisins)
Store in airtight container (room temperature up to 3 days) or keep in freezer up to 6 months ( and remove from freezer as you use it).
