Beekeepers Club of Gwinnett County

If you are interested in finding a mentor or becoming a mentor, please contact us. Beekeeping is a fascinating hobby and we can all benefit and learn from each other through mentoring!  The fall is a great time to start talking with beekeepers and learn all you can so you are ready to begin in the spring!

Looking for a mentor?

Let us know if you would like someone to visit your hive or if you only want to talk with an experienced beekeeper.  Be sure to provide us with contact information and your general location so we can get back to you.

Interested in mentoring new beekeepers?

Let us know and we will work with you to get you added to the program as a mentor.

Swarm Removal!

Spring is prime swarm season, but Honey Bees can swarm in the summer and fall also.

If you see a swarm and would like someone to come remove it, please contact Tommy Bailey at 678-232-5401 for removal of honeybee swarms from your property.

Our Next Meeting - September 9th.

The Gwinnett County Fair is September 11 - 21.  If you are interested in beekeeping and/or the club, be sure to stop by the exhibit hall and visit our booth!  Meet bee enthusiasts, check out an observation hive, and pick up some honey!

Our October meeting will be your opportunity to showcase your honey!  We will be having our first honey contest!  Be thinking about this as you extract your honey this summer.  Dr. Keith Delaplane will also be speaking to us in October.

We also have a facebook page.  Visit it for more discussions and helpful links.!/gwinnettbeekeepers
